It's A Celebration

So Today Is Prince Fielder's Birthday.

It's also another Detroit Athlete's birthday. Small guy, didn't have much of an impact, goes by the name Steve Yzerman.

Anyways, Prince turns [insert age here] and he doesn't show any signs of stopping from being an effective and energetic ball player. Not to mention a boss.

So on this celebratory day, I'd like to show you just how much the Prince has influenced pop culture.

Who could forget his Oscar winning turn as "The Dread Pirate Roberts A.K.A Wesley" in Rob Reiner's "The Prince's Bride"

He would also find success on console gaming as an amazing parkour specialist and supernatural baddie fighter "The Prince Of Persia"

Of course he's in the video and film realm, but did you also know he was the basis for the beloved and long running Sunday Newspaper Comic "Prince Valiant"?

Having taken a break from acting to pursue Baseball, Prince found enormous success on the field. But after being away from the camera, he found himself wanting more from his star studded life and when he had the time, he returned to the big screen in Disney's "Enchanted"

Last and certainly not least, while Prince has been known for his on-field prowess, monster swing and charasmatic smile, we all know what he's made his success on. That's right, the immortal album that has stood the test of time. Winner of 2 Grammy's and nomnated for album of the year in 1984, countless copies sold and a movie to boot, his masterpiece: Purple Rain

Happy Birthday Prince. Your contributions to our culture will never fade.
GOOOO THUNDERCATS!
